About me
Living in eastern Ontario, columnist and author Susanna McLeod is surrounded by history every day. From Fort Frontenac to Fort Henry, First Nations to fine architecture, she finds so much to discover and share. Canada may be young compared with other nations, but its history is captivating, its people amazing, determined, and innovative.
A writer for nearly 29 years, Susanna is an award-winning columnist with the Kingston Whig-Standard. She is the author of the cozy mystery In a Small Box of Chocolate: An Emmalene Morton Cozy Mystery. Susanna’s history pieces and articles pop up on many sites across the Web, including The Canadian Encyclopedia and monthly in Ontario Construction News. Before Our Canada stopped publication in early 2024, Susanna was fortunate to have an article and photo published about fish and the changing environment in northern British Columbia.
Thank you for reading Glimpses of Canadian History and sharing Susanna’s delight in Canada’s wonderful past. Come back each month for a fresh installment.
